Just another Rant and a Rave!
Warning: Some explicit language is used in this post.
You know when you got that feeling where you think “eurrghh, I cannot be bothered with that today”. Well, I get that everyday. I always wake up with so much negativity. Stupid questions like “Why am I up?”, “What do I have to look forward too?”, or “Why? Why? Why?”.
Let me tell you something that you need to get in your head… THIS. IS. NOT. GOOD. FOR. YOU.
Never be so negative for so long. It WILL damage your mental health, your philosophy, your way of life, the way you think, the way you talk, and everything around you… I know this. I am experiencing it right now.
The law of attraction: “Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it’s attracted to you by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.” – Rhonda Byrne, The Secret.
From this, ‘Like’ thoughts attract other ‘Like’ thoughts. Apply this to the context before. Negative thoughts will attract other negative thoughts which in turn will make you think/be negative. And negative people will emit negative thoughts. Be careful of those!
Surround yourself with people that you enjoy the company of. If you don’t have any of those people, go down to your local café and just talk to someone, cafés don’t attract bad people or not that I’ve come across. Chances are they’re nice people, and what have you got to lose?
I have no idea why I feel compelled to tell you readers this, but it feels slightly better to get this off my chest and help other people in similar situations. My advice is, do what makes you happy. Do something to take your mind off things. Talk about your thoughts. Blog.
If you don’t know what makes you happy then find something that you feel you want to do. You don’t know if you like unless you try it. Do something out of the blue. Do something that’s a spur of the moment and random. Like learn a new language such as Russian (yes, that’s exactly what I am doing but I did have an existing interest in languages)
Take me for example. I am on a gap year from university and have nothing to do. I then wrote a short list to do for my year and I will share this with you.
My to-do list:
- Learn some Russian
- Learn to drive
- Pass my driving test
- Donate blood
- Meet new people
- Write a book
- Start a blog
- Write a portfolio of literature
- Go busking
- Write a song
- Write an album
- Find what makes me happy
With a list in mind, you have something to strive towards (a goal/objective), and when you achieve something off your list, you will get a sense of satisfaction and become one step closer to being happier!
Don’t listen to what other people say you should be doing with your life.. It’s your life. You have to put you first. I’m not one to use bad language but when I feel strongly about something it just comes out. Be a little selfish if you aren’t already are. You need this “Fuck it” attitude.
Fuck it, I’m going to do some travelling. Fuck it, I’ll donate my blood. Fuck it, I want to be happy.
If you want change, then you need to change something.
Thanks you for reading, get sharing, get commenting. I need to know your views!
I wish you the best.
